Sherpa

Sherpa, a gorgeous shepherd mix, had been at the Animal Shelter for over 5 months. When she came in, she was sweet and mild mannered. Watching her over the months, shelter workers and volunteers saw her behavior deteriorate. She started jumping, barking, and getting aggressive with other dogs. Finally, as a last resort, she went to a foster home. In her new foster home, Sherpa finally got the exercise, attention, and discipline she so desperately needed. Still, for months, with posters, newspaper ads, and emails everywhere, Sherpa could not find an owner. She needed just the right person, someone willing to provide her with enough exercise and discipline. Finally, after months of waiting, Quart showed up. Now Quart and Sherpa are best buddies—they run, hike, swim and hang out together all the time. Sherpa is so happy in her new home!!

Willy

Willy, a black lab mix, came into the shelter as a stray. He quickly became a favorite of the shelter staff, with a very sweet disposition and eagerness to please. Although he was a ready-made family pet with no issues, for some reason, people always overlooked him. For 5 months he lived at the shelter until finally he went to a foster home, where he spent 4 months. He was a great boy for his foster family, getting lots of love and training. Finally, after much hoping, Andrea showed up and she and Willy are now forever friends.
